Tender BBQ ribs
INGREDIENTS:
2 racks of baby back ribs
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 tablespoons paprika
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
1 tablespoon chili powder
1 tablespoon ground cumin
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1 tablespoon dried thyme
1 tablespoon smoked paprika
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
DIRECTIONS:
Prepare the Ribs:
Start by removing the membrane from the back of the ribs. This can be done by using a knife to loosen one end and then pulling it off with a paper towel for a better grip.
Pat the ribs dry with a paper towel to ensure the dry rub adheres well.
Make the Dry Rub:
In a bowl, combine the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, ground cumin, dried oregano, dried thyme, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, black pepper, salt, mustard powder, cumin powder, and coriander powder.
Mix the spices thoroughly to create a well-balanced dry rub.
Apply the Dry Rub:
Rub the dry rub generously over both sides of the ribs, ensuring an even coating. Use your hands to massage the rub into the meat, making sure it adheres well.
For optimal flavor, let the ribs marinate with the dry rub for at least 1-2 hours, or overnight in the refrigerator for even better results.
