Snickerdoodle Cookies

INGREDIENTS:

1 ½ C. + 2 Tbsp. Granulated sugar divided
1 C. Butter softened
2 ⅔ C. All purpose flour
2 Large eggs
1 tsp. Baking soda
2 tsp. Cream of tartar
2 tsp. Cinnamon

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a mixing bowl, beat together the butter, eggs, and 1 ½ cups sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the flour, baking soda, and cream of tartar to the mixing bowl, and beat until a smooth dough forms.
Wet your hands slightly, and form the dough into small balls.
In a shallow bowl, combine the 2 tbsp sugar and the cinnamon. Roll the balls of dough around in the cinnamon sugar to coat them well.
Place the cookies on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 8-10 minutes.
Let cool and serve.
