Loaded Meatloaf Casserole
Meatloaf is always good and casserole recipes are always filling and simple. Well, this recipe combines both classic dishes to make a brand new one, and it’s really tasty!

INGREDIENTS:

3 cups mashed potatoes

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

½ cup finely chopped white onion

1 large egg

 cup crumbled cooked bacon or “Bacon Bits”

3 minced garlic cloves

1 pound lean ground beef

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 cup Italian breadcrumbs

 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Salt and black pepper to taste

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat the oven to 400ºF.
Mix the beef with the garlic, onion and Worcester sauce with your hands or a couple of forks.
Add salt and black pepper then mix in the egg and breadcrumbs.
Press the mixture into an 8-inch square baking pan.
Spread the mashed potatoes on top.
Sprinkle the cheese and bacon on top of that.
Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes.
Discard the foil and bake for 10 more minutes or until the cheese melts and bubbles.
Serve hot.
