Lemon Butter Baked Cod
INGREDIENTS:
4 cod fillets
Salt and pepper to taste
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Lemon slices (for garnish)
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
Season the cod fillets generously with salt and pepper on both sides, then place them on the prepared baking sheet.
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, lemon juice, and minced garlic until well combined.
Pour the lemon butter sauce over the cod fillets, making sure to coat them evenly.
Bake the cod in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.
Remove from the oven and sprinkle the chopped parsley over the top. Garnish with lemon slices before serving. Enjoy!
