Homemade Corn Dogs
Are you a fan of corn dogs? If so, you’ll love this homemade baked corn dog recipe! These corn dogs are made with real corn kernels and hot dogs, and they’re coated in a delicious batter made from scratch. And best of all, they’re baked, not fried, so they’re much healthier than traditional corn dogs.

INGREDIENTS:

1 Egglightly beaten
¾ c Yellow cornmeal
12 Hot dogs
¾ c All-purpose flour
2 tsp Vegetable oil
1 tbsp Sugar
¾ c Buttermilk
¼ tsp Salt
2 tbsp Honey
1 ½ tsp Baking powder
Quarts Oilfor frying
12 wooden skewers

DIRECTIONS:

Heat the oil in a large pot on the stove until it reaches 350 degrees.
Mix together the sugar, flour, salt, baking powder and cornmeal in a large bowl.
Blend the egg, buttermilk, honey and vegetable oil into the dry ingredients.
Rest the batter for 10 minutes.
Run a skewer through each hot dog.
Dip the hot dogs into the batter, and coat them completely.
Place the battered corn dogs into the heated oil, and cook for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
Drain on a paper towel-lined plate and serve.
