Garlic Cheese Rolls
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon granulated sugar
1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) instant yeast
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup warm water
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
3 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
DIRECTIONS:
Mix and Knead:
In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, yeast, and salt. Pour in warm water and olive oil, stirring until a soft dough forms. Adjust with more flour if needed for a manageable consistency.
Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for approximately 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
Let Rise:
Grease a bowl and place the kneaded dough inside. Cover it with a cloth and let it rise in a warm spot until doubled in size, which usually takes about 1 hour.
Preheat and Prepare:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Once the dough has risen, punch it down and roll it out onto a floured surface into a rectangle, about 1/2-inch thick.
Add Flavor:
Spread melted butter evenly over the dough surface, then sprinkle with minced garlic, shredded mozzarella cheese, grated Parmesan cheese, and chopped parsley.
Roll and Cut:
Carefully roll up the dough tightly from the long side to form a log. Slice the log into 12 equal pieces.
Bake:
Place the cut rolls with their spiral sides up in a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve Warm:
Once baked to perfection, remove the rolls from the oven and serve them warm, ready to be enjoyed by all.
