French Toast Breakfast Puffs
This French Toast Breakfast Puffs recipe is approved by the whole family thanks to its incredible flavors.

INGREDIENTS:

1 ½ Cups All-Purpose Flour

1 ½ tsp Baking Powder

½ tsp Salt

¼ tsp Nutmeg

½ cup Granulated Sugar

 cup Shortening

1 Egg (At Room Temp)

½ cup Milk

Topping:

½ cup Sugar

1 tsp Cinnamon

6 tsp Unsalted Butter Melted

DIRECTIONS:

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Coat a 12 muffin pan with nonstick baking spray.
In a large bowl, add the flour, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg, whisk to combine.
In a separate medium sized bowl, add the sugar and shortening.
Cream to combine on medium speed of a hand mixer.
Add the egg to the sugar mixture and continue to beat to combine.
Begin to add the flour, and milk to the sugar mixture adding ⅓ add a time. Scoop the batter into the muffin pan.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.

Topping:

In a small bowl add the sugar and cinnamon stir to combine. Remove muffins from the oven.
Flip the baking pan over and carefully remove the muffins. Dip each of the muffins into the melted butter, then into the sugar mixture. Set to the side.
Serve warm and enjoy!
