Easy Cinnamon Rolls
I can say with conviction that I love cinnamon rolls. I’m pretty sure you do too. The problem is that they are always a bit finicky to make. Imagine my delight when I came across this easy cinnamon rolls recipe. The trick is that you use frozen, readymade bread dough. After that, it’s all plain folding!
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb. Frozen bread dough thawed out
3 Tbsp. Melted butter
⅔ C. Brown sugar
½ C. Chopped walnuts
1 tsp. Cinnamon
1 tsp. Water
⅓ C. Heavy whipping cream
⅔ C. Powdered sugar
2 Tbsp. Milk
1 tsp. Vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS:
In a mixing bowl, combine the brown sugar, chopped walnuts and cinnamon.
Roll the thawed dough out into a large rectangle on a well floured surface.
Brush the top of the dough with the melted butter.
Sprinkle the filling over the entire rectangle of dough.
Roll the dough up tightly lengthwise, using the water to seal the dough closed.
Slice the dough into 20 even sections.
Place the dough sections flat side down in two well greased 9 inch cake pans.
Brush the tops of the rolls with the heavy whipping cream.
Bake for 20 minutes or until cooked through.
In a bowl, combine the powdered sugar, milk and vanilla until smooth.
Drizzle the icing over the rolls and serve.
