Crescent Cream Cheese Danishes
These Crescent Cream Cheese Danish are super ebay to make, they are a perfect breakfast on the weekends or when you have company staying. They are tasty and impressive.
INGREDIENTS:
2 Cans of crescent rolls
8 oz. Cream cheese softened
½ C. Granulated sugar
1 tsp. Lemon juice
1 tsp. Vanilla extract
¼ C. Brown sugar
2 Tbsp. Butter melted
For the glaze:
⅔ C. Powdered sugar
4 tsp. Milk
1 tsp. Vanilla extract
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
In a mixing bowl, beat together the cream cheese, granulated sugar, lemon juice and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter and brown sugar.
Open the crescent roll packages, and cut each one into 8 even sections.
Place the sections of crescent roll dough flat on a large parchment lined baking sheet, and use your fingers or the back of a spoon to create a well in the center of each one.
Brush the brown sugar mixture onto the top of each crescent roll section, and fill the center of each one with a serving of the cream cheese mixture.
Bake for 15-20 minutes until lightly browned and cooked through.
Mix together the ingredients for the glaze until smooth, and brush on top of the danishes before serving.
