CHRISTMAS MORNING CASSEROLE
If it is your task to make breakfast on Christmas morning, or any other day of the year for that matter, you may want to try this easy Christmas breakfast casserole recipe.
INGREDIENTS:
1 lb. Ground beef
1 tsp. Salt
Garlic to taste
1 tsp. Sugar
15 oz. Tomato sauce
8 oz. Sour cream
8 oz. Softened cream cheese
8 oz. Cooked egg noodles
1 ½ C. Shredded cheddar cheese
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium high heat on the stove.
Add the garlic, salt, sugar and tomato sauce to the skillet, reduce to a simmer and cook for 15 minutes.
Place ½ of the noodles in the bottom of a well greased casserole dish.
Mix together the cream cheese and sour cream. Place half of the mixture on top of the first layer of noodles in the dish.
Top the cream cheese layer with half of the meat mixture.
Add another layer of noodles, then cream cheese mixture and then the remaining meat sauce on top.
Sprinkle the cheddar cheese on the top of the casserole and bake for 20 minutes.
