Cajun Chicken Wings
Cajun food takes the natural spice of NOLA and amps it up to the next level. For example, Cajun wings add a lot of fire to delicious chicken to produce a meal only New Orleans could make. This fantastic Cajun wings recipe will get your mouth watering and your family begging for more.
INGREDIENTS:
2 lb. Chicken wings
¾ C. All purpose flour
2 Tbsp. Cajun seasoning
4 Tbsp. Butter melted
2 tsp. Maple syrup
3 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
½ tsp. Salt
½ tsp. Pepper
½ tsp. Tabasco sauce
Oil for frying
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Add the flour and cajun seasoning to a Ziploc bag and shake to combine.
Heat several inches of oil in a deep sided skillet over medium high heat on the stove until it reaches about 350 degrees.
Add the chicken wings to the Ziploc bag with the flour and shake to coat well.
Place the breaded wings in the hot oil and fry for 2-3 minutes on each side. Remove, and drain on a paper towel lined plate.
In a bowl, whisk together the butter, maple syrup, worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper and tabasco sauce.
Toss the fried wings in the sauce and place them on a baking sheet.
Bake for 30 minutes or until cooked through.
