Apple Pie Egg Rolls
Apple pie is a classic dish that tastes divine. Isn’t it? However, it can be very time consuming. That’s why you can do a little fusion to make a fun recipe in your kitchen. If you miss apple pie but don’t feel like making it in a typical way then try our apple pie egg roll. It is quick and yummy so let cook it.
INGREDIENTS:
3 medium apples, peeled and diced
3 tsp cane sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 lemon, juiced
12 egg roll wrappers
Oil for frying
DIRECTIONS:
In a medium bowl, toss together diced apple, sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice together. Allow to sit for 10 minutes.
At the centre of each wrapper, place 2 tablespoons of apple mixture. Fold in sides and wrap tightly.
In a deep pan, preheat oil to 350°F. Fry egg rolls for about 4-5 minutes or until turning browned and crispy.
If baking, Preheat oven to 425˚F. Grease a baking sheet lightly. Bake rolls for 10-15 minutes or until browned, turning halfway through cooking time.
Remove from pan onto paper-towel lined plate. Serve warm, sprinkled with powdered sugar with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
