INGREDIENTS:

Ground beef or your choice of ground protein (such as turkey or chicken)

Lettuce leaves (iceberg or butter lettuce works well)

Tomato slices

Onion slices

Pickles

DIRECTIONS:

Start by shaping your ground beef into burger patties. Season each patty with salt and pepper to taste.

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the burger patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired level of doneness.

While the patties are cooking, thoroughly wash and dry your lettuce leaves. These will serve as your burger “buns.”
